This Privacy Policy explains how SerBee ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when you use our marketplace, accounts, messaging, bookings, wallet features, and related services.
We process personal information to operate the Platform, facilitate transactions between customers and Providers, maintain security, and comply with law. This Policy should be read together with our Terms of Use.
1. Information we collect
We may collect the following categories of information:
- Account and profile data: name, email, phone, photo, location fields (such as city or barangay), and profile completion status.
- Booking and transaction data: service selections, schedules, amounts, wallet activity, top-up and withdrawal submissions, and support communications.
- Provider and listing data: service descriptions, pricing, photos, availability, and verification documents you submit.
- Communications: messages sent through the Platform and notifications preferences.
- Technical data: IP address, device and browser type, cookies, log data, and usage analytics.
2. How we use information
We use personal information to:
- Create and secure accounts, authenticate users, and prevent fraud.
- Display listings, enable search, process bookings, and operate wallet features.
- Facilitate messaging between customers and Providers.
- Review verification submissions and enforce Platform policies.
- Send service-related notices, security alerts, and support responses.
- Analyze usage to improve reliability, performance, and product design.
- Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.
3. Legal bases for processing
Where applicable privacy laws require a legal basis, we rely on one or more of the following: performance of a contract with you; legitimate interests in operating and securing the Platform; compliance with legal obligations; and your consent where required (for example, certain marketing communications or optional profile fields).

We retain personal information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide services, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal, tax, accounting, or security requirements.
Verification documents, financial records, and certain logs may be kept for longer periods where required by law or legitimate business needs.

The Platform is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us so we can take appropriate action.
10. International users
If you access the Platform from outside the Philippines, your information may be processed in countries where we or our service providers operate. Those countries may have different data protection laws than your own.
